After the first successful programme dedicated to building on Solana, we’re delighted to announce the launch of a new strategic and educational Solana initiative! This long-term initiative with the Solana Foundation as our sponsor will offer educational programmes to introduce people worldwide to Solana and help them start their web3 journey.
In the first part of the Encode x Solana programme, we had the Solana Educate series and Solana Bootcamp. In the second round of initiatives, we’ll have the Encode Hackathon Sponsored by the Solana Foundation and another Solana Bootcamp cohort!

Encode Hackathon sponsored by the Solana Foundation
The Encode Hackathon sponsored by the Solana Foundation will be an online hack dedicated to building on Solana. The hackathon lasts 4 weeks, with 1–1 mentoring sessions happening throughout the hackathon. During the duration of the hackathon, we’ll have multiple workshops, all with the goal in mind to educate and engage the hackers.
The programme encompasses the following events:
- Launch Event + Building on Solana Crash Course — Wednesday, 11th January 2023 at 5:30 pm GMT
- Intro to Solana Pay — Monday, 16th January at 4 pm GMT
- Ideation Workshop — Tuesday, 17th January at 5.30 pm GMT
- Private Payments with the Elusiv SDK — Wednesday, 25th January at 5.30 pm GMT
- Solana Ecosystem Overview — Thursday, 26th January at 5 pm GMT
- Using Zero Knowledge Proofs on Solana — Monday, 30th January at 5.30 pm GMT
- Finale and Prizegiving — Friday, 24th February 2023 at 5.30 pm GMT

Solana Foundation Challenge: Build on Solana!
Build a cool, innovative and useful project on Solana and win a prize from the $10,000 total prize pool.

Elusiv Challenge: Best integration of the Elusiv SDK

Solana Bootcamp
This bootcamp will be completely dedicated to building in Rust on Solana.
The Bootcamp will kick off on Monday, 24th October and run until Thursday, 15th December.
Only a limited number of participants will be selected, which makes our application process very competitive. After receiving a message confirming you have successfully applied, we kindly ask our applicants to wait for a follow-up email from our Programme Manager regarding the next steps.
Bootcamp sessions will run for 90 minutes daily (Monday-Thursday) for eight weeks. Attendance is mandatory to successfully complete the bootcamp.
