Announcing the Encode x Algorand Foundation Partnership and Initiatives
We’re delighted to announce the launch of a new strategic and educational initiative dedicated to Algorand. This long-term collaboration will offer educational programmes to introduce people around the world to Algorand and help them start their Web3 journey.

Encode x Algorand Educate series
Encode x Algorand will kick off with a two-session educational series teaching developers about blockchain through the lens of Algorand, running at the beginning of May 2022.
The programme encompasses two sessions:
- Intro to Algorand — 5th May at 5.30pm GMT+1
- Layer 1 — 6th May at 5.30pm GMT+1

Encode x Algorand Coding Bootcamp
Besides the Educate series, Encode will offer a coding bootcamp teaching hackers all about Algorand.
Participants will attend eight weeks of sessions in total, with one session taking place every week.
The bootcamp participants will also be placed into crypto jobs following their successful completion of the programme. Several cohorts of crypto talent have graduated from our programmes and joined the Web3 space so far!
The bootcamp will kick off in December.

Encode x Algorand Hackathon
This will be a four-week online hackathon starting on 31st May 2022, and dedicated to building on Algorand. The hackathon lasts 4 weeks, with workshops and 1–1 mentoring sessions happening throughout the hackathon. Stay tuned for the hackathon announcement and registrations!
The programme encompasses five events:
- Launch Event — 31st May at 5.30 pm GMT+1
- Algorand Smart Contracts — 1st June at 5.30 pm GMT+1
- Reach Workshop — 9th June at 5.30 pm GMT+1
- Ideation Workshop —14th June at 5.30 pm GMT+1
- Finale and Prizegiving — 20th July at 5.30 pm GMT+1

Encode x Algorand Accelerator
The hackathon will be followed by an eight-week accelerator programme that will help projects in the Algorand ecosystem become full-fledged startups through weekly sessions, mentorship, and support.
Applications for the accelerator will open following the end of our Algorand Hackathon.
