Encode x Solana Hackathon sponsored by the Solana Foundation–Prizewinners & Summary
The Encode x Solana Hackathon, supported by the Solana Foundation, concluded yesterday. Over four weeks, teams focused on developing groundbreaking projects on the Solana blockchain. The hackathon included a launch event that set the stage for a month of coding and problem-solving, as well as various in-depth technical workshops.
Our partners — the Solana Foundation, Codigo, Ironforge, and SolanaFM — supported this event through both technical workshops and bounties. The hackathon closed off with a fantastic finale event, where hackers showed off the projects they’d been working on over the last month.
How it Worked
Our hackathon participants had four weeks to build their projects and submit them for judging. During this time, they also had the opportunity to participate in several workshops related to the Solana ecosystem:

Best Solana Dapp
🥇 First Place: Structured Product ($3500)
“Structured Product” was a project aimed at demonstrating the viability of a blockchain-based platform for creating structured financial products. It focused on enhancing user experience while reducing settlement risks and operational burdens for both investors and issuers.
🥈 Second Place: øhr ($2500)
øhr was a project designed to develop a decentralized social media platform centered around the power of sound. The team successfully integrated features like an audio feed, a profile page with post-deletion capability, a tipping function, and a tip board into the platform’s flow.
🥉 Third Place: FLUF Protocol ($1500)
Fluf Protocol introduced a novel Flash Loan Facility on Solana, enabling multi-protocol loans and the borrowing of unlimited non-existent funds in a single transaction, surpassing traditional flash loan capabilities.

🏅 Winner 1: BEHS ($1000)
BEHS is a blockchain-based electronic health system in Malaysia, designed to improve patient data management, privacy, and interoperability among healthcare providers, ensuring secure and seamless healthcare data exchange.
🏅 Winner 2: hive ($1000)
Hive is a decentralized news platform on Solana blockchain, designed to combat misinformation by allowing user voting on content, influencing post visibility and featuring a leaderboard for top news and contributions, with transparency and immutability at its core.
🏅 Winner 3: Squad X ($1000)
Squad X, a SocialFi extension for X/Twitter, encourages user engagement by rewarding interactions like likes and retweets with SQUX tokens. Integrating features like token claims on follower pages, a token-fed Dino raising game, and collaborations with Solana projects, it enhances user experience and promotes project awareness.
🏅 Winner 4: Sol Starter ($1000)
Sol Starter is a desktop application designed to simplify the initial setup process for Solana CLI and Rust, focusing on helping newcomers with account creation, project bootstrapping, and Solana program management. It centralizes essential elements like the test validator, accounts, and programs, making them easily accessible for beginners.
🏅 Winner 5: SolFund ($1000)
SolFund, a decentralized crowdfunding platform on Solana, aims to redefine industry standards by emphasizing transparency and global support. It offers fast transaction capabilities, potential NFT rewards, decentralized governance, and cross-chain compatibility for worldwide campaign creation and support.

Build a Project Using Código’s CIDL: SolanAI by DeFi Builder ($1000)
The AI Auditor for Solana projects is a sophisticated tool designed to enhance security assessment processes. Utilizing advanced AI, it scrutinizes project structures to detect vulnerabilities categorized by risk levels and offers targeted recommendations. This tool simplifies developer efforts by providing detailed PDF reports, automating GitHub issue creation for pinpointed vulnerabilities, and streamlining the protocol auditing process.
Ironforge Bounty

Paypeer is a mobile app, a decentralized exchange and a custodial wallet service designed to facilitate the conversion of Naira (NGN) to Dollars (USD) using a Stable Curve based Automated Market Maker on Solana. It Includes an Onramp Service to help move NGN liquidity on-chain and a landing page to help quickly onboard users.
🥉 Third Place: SkyTrade ($250 in Ironforge credits)
SkyTrade is an air rights marketplace, that enables air rights to be bought, sold and rented. The platform is boosted by the SkyRadar which tracks low-altitude airspace for drones.

Gbits Pay revolutionizes payment processing by enabling the scanning of Swiss QR invoices and facilitating payments using Solana-based stablecoins such as USDC, EURC, and VNX CHF. This innovative platform maintains the current procedural familiarity for both companies and consumers while substituting traditional banking and clearing systems with the efficiency of Solana and IronForge RPC technology.

Hyperia Labs introduces its pioneering Behavioral Prediction Tool, a solution designed to decipher and anticipate the actions and trends within the blockchain space. By harnessing powerful AI algorithms like Deep Neural Network Analysis, this tool sifts through complex on-chain data to provide a holistic view of user behaviours and preferences. This multifaceted approach enables more accurate forecasting of market liquidity, user interaction trends, and the potential for fraudulent activities.
🏅 Winner 3: Airbrain AI (Tier 1 Rate Limit for 6 months)
Composable generative AI Agents Protocol (CAAP) which allows users to build personalized AI agents within minutes on-chain for use cases such as crypto alpha research, NFT research, learning about crypto and DeFi, generating ideas, creating marketing content etc.

Stamps! transforms marketing into an interactive game by allowing brands to place utility NFTs, known as “stamps,” at specific geolocations worldwide. Users can discover and collect these stamps through an engaging mobile-first web platform. Each stamp carries unique benefits that users can either redeem before they expire or sell in a secondary market if they choose not to use them. This innovative approach adds a fresh layer to customer-brand interactions and opens up a new revenue channel for brands through the resale of these digital assets.
