We’ve just celebrated the graduation of our Solidity Foundation February cohort. They successfully completed their four-week learning journey and gained a foundational understanding of blockchain development.

This condensed version of the usual eight-week Solidity bootcamp was designed to provide a lighter, introductory level of education for those seeking to learn the basics of smart contract development with Solidity.

About the bootcamp

The bootcamp was led by Matheus Pagani, a seasoned professional from BFT Solutions, who provided both in-class instruction and ongoing support throughout the program. Participants had access to a variety of resources, including helpful materials and a direct line to Matheus for answering any questions they had.

Around 250 participants were able to gain a solid understanding of foundational Solidity and smart contract development. By the end of the programme, they were well-equipped to begin exploring the potential applications of blockchain technology and the benefits that smart contracts can bring to various industries.

How it worked

Classes ran for 1.5 hours once a week, on Fridays, and covered the fundamentals of blockchain technology, Ethereum and basic smart contracts.

Classes were live and fully remote with daily Zoom sessions and dedicated private Discord discussion channels.

The four bootcamp sessions were the following:

  • Week 1: Introduction to Blockchain and Ethereum
  • Week 2: HellowWorld.sol and Syntax
  • Week 3: Anatomy of dApp, Part 1
  • Week 4: Anatomy of dApp, Part 2
